Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman has been an outstanding professor of psychology since 1993 and director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. She is widely acknowledged for launching the modern science of eyewitness memory in children as well as using children who have been abused to testify as legal witnesses. Prof. Goodman has published numerous papers as well as received numerous grants. She has also been recognized with numerous national and international awards. She has offered consulting on research and policy to numerous agencies and government departments from all over the world. She is currently a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center located at Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She has memberships with numerous professional groups, such as the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is part of Psychonomics Society, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a Founding Member, International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of American Psychological Association Divisions for Policy for Children and Families and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
